The Florida Cracker is one of few wool-growing sheep breeds that can handle a hot, humid, predator-abundant environment. There were questions of whether Florida Cracker and Gulf Coast Native were the same breed. They are definitively not. This document tells that story, features the breed's appealing wool and includes a lot of historical content. Lacking data on the wool's characteristics, I also sent samples of the first three fleeces I received to the lab, and I show locks, talk about the results, and how those fleeces spun up.

Printed document plus free digital version; 8x8" publication. This document contains theory and practical knowledge for fiber arts enthusiasts of all skill levels. The handouts are heavily illustrated.
