Voyage Of The Innocent is a song I wrote that I hoped to sing as a lullaby for my sons. I wrote it to bring an image of slipping off to a land of dreams with childhood friends from bed time stories told or read from children's books. I wrote the music with soft gentle guitar to make a feeling of floating on air in a majestic and magical ship with sails full of wind, floating with clouds as waves and the moon on the horizon as the sun is setting in the background. The music swells and ebbs, rises and falls gently, evenly as the ship goes on it's journey to a land that children know, but adults vaguely remember. A land of story book characters, imaginary friends and fun. I wrote this song using guitar and feel that guitar is the main instrument of the song. The single voice line and guitar are all that is needed if no other instruments are available and the song could start where the guitar chords begin.
