When "Public Art" was conceived, ground rules were established. The base photographs were to have been made within the previous six months and only pictures scanned from the University of Oregon, Browsing Room collection of 19th and 20th century text books would be composited into them. Also, no words would appear, and each picture would contain pseudo machine readable like symbols. I wish I could credit the artists who created the composited art, however their work was uncredited in the original publications. I am happy to have been able to give their art new life one hundred or so years later.

Please indulge this fictitious proposal.
