For the first issue of OurWorld Travel & Photography, we explore Africa covering each corner of this vast continent. Starting in East Africa, we take a look at two distinct sides of Kenya, is maligned capital, Nairobi, and its tourist-magnet, the Masai Mara. Next, it's off to francophone West Africa with an epic overland expedition from Dakar, Senegal, across the length of Mali to Timbuktu, then on to Niger before reaching the coast of Benin. In Southern Africa, join me in the pilot's seat on an aerial safari from Windhoek, Namibia, across Botswana to Victoria Falls, then to the remote northwest corner of Namibia along the Angolan border before turning south to fly nearly the entire coast almost as far as South Africa. Staying in Namibia, we trade the Cessna for a rental car and head up to Etosha National Park for superb game viewing. We end this African survey in the entirely different world of North Africa in Tunisia.
