The Mighty Bookers

Booker T. Washington High School is considered to be one of the worst schools in the city of Norfolk Virginia, and is centered in between 3 of the city's worst housing projects. The school has a bad reputation for violence, and bad test scores but I wanted to see for myself if this was all true. My objective of this book, was to document what this school, was really about, and some of the misconceptions that people have about it. Upon my visit I slowly began to realize that it was the lack of school funding that made the school the way it is, and wanted these pictures to help get that point across.
