The mandala is a universal art form especially prevalent in cultures attuned to Unity. Sacred Circles is written by Barry Stevens, a contemporary mandala artist who has been working with mandalas all his adult life. He currently (2009) lives and works in Pembrokeshire, Wales, U.K. The book is extensively illustrated with his drawings and paintings covering four decades and also features the mandalas of Mike and Claudia Booth who are well known for their work with Aura-Soma and other healing activities. The mandalas presented in Sacred Circles have developed over a period of about thirty five years and are in a sense a record of a journey which is both personal and transpersonal. It is a personal journey in that the mandalas are painted by individuals in a particular time and place and it is a transpersonal journey in that the principles which are an integral part of mandalas are universal and timeless. Designed and published by Mandala Prints. www.mandalas.co.uk
