A collection of ten different bootcuff patterns, using a variety of yarn weights, and lots of different stitches. Cables, slipped stitches, knit and purl... You might be wondering: but what is a bootcuff? It is basically a short legwarmer (though it could be long too) that is worn with boots to look like a sock. Which brings up a second question. Why not just wear a sock? Well, when you are wearing thin city boots, it can be too warm and a little bit squishy to try to stuff worsted weight socks into your boot and fit your toes in. Also, bootcuffs are faster and more fun to knit than socks - no heels, no toes. They use up less yarn (1-3 skeins for the largest sizes). All of the patterns are charted and written out, and include sizes to fit everyone from a toddler up to those whose calves are 24 inches around.
