Realistic enough for pretend, practical enough for everyday, Uakari is knit in pieces and seamed, before the hood is picked up and knit. Short row shaping keeps the hood on comfortably regardless of monkey business. Pockets and ears are knit separately and sewed on at the end. The button band and buttonholes are knit as you go, and a little i-cord makes finishes the neck and ears. If you put the ears on the top of the hood - it looks like a bear. The 4T sweater is modeled on an average sized 3 year old. MC: Approximately: 325(400, 450, 475, 500, 600,700) yds/ 300(365, 410, 435, 460, 550, 640)m CC: Approximately: 100(125, 140, 160, 185, 200,220) yds/ 91(115, 130, 150, 170, 185, 201)m Other special techniques are: tubular cast-on, stranded knitting, i-cord bind off, and short rows.
