The juror Dan Burkholder, fine art photographer, author and educator, writes, "If 'FotoTexas: People, Places & Culture' doesn’t summon images of pride, either you can’t read or you have no sense of romantic imagination. At the very least, you’ve never witnessed the state’s splendor, history or intriguing contradictions."
